Our Process
GETTING TO KNOW YOU
Every design project with Claudia Howard Interiors begins with a complimentary 20-minute Discovery Call. This is a brief but essential call where we connect to see if we are the right fit for your goals, vision, and timeline.
Should we decide to move forward, the next step is a one-time Design Starter Consultation. This is an in-home design meeting where we explore endless possibilities and solutions, review floor plans if available, provide assistance with finish selection for a new build, advice on paint colors, furniture selection, and more. We will provide expert insight and guidance for feasible solutions to align their vision, expectations, and scope of work.
Once our project begins, we will work in three seamless phases to bring your dream space to life:
PHASE I:
FOUNDATION DESIGN – In this initial phase, we dive deep into understanding your personal style, preferences, and objectives in order to create a design concept tailored to you and your vision. Our team will provide an overall design direction and concept, preliminary floor plans, and an early selection of materials. At this stage, we also prepare a transparent breakdown of all estimated costs to ensure clarity and avoid surprises as we move forward in the design process.
PHASE II:
DESIGN OPTIMIZATION – With the budget and overall design concept in place, we move into refining your design. In this phase, we develop detailed design plans, technical drawings, and interior elevations to bring every technical detail of the design plan together. We collaborate closely with you to finalize finishes and carefully curate bespoke selections that complement your space. This phase includes multiple client meetings for material and finish selections, as well as showroom visits, should you wish to explore options in person.
PHASE III:
DESIGN IMPLEMENTATION – In this phase, your vision truly comes to life. We oversee every detail of the process, providing hands-on construction support to ensure everything unfolds smoothly and seamlessly. From coordinating with contractors to turn-key installation, we manage each step to ensure your design is executed to perfection, giving you peace of mind throughout the entire journey. Welcome home!
